About
I graduated in History from the University of Barcelona (2004) and earned a Masters Degree in African History from the London School of Oriental and African Studies (2010) before becoming a PhD student and FPI Research Fellow from the Ministry of Science and Innovation at the UdL. My research is associated to the department group "Transboundary Movements and New Citizenship Practices in Africa and Europe", led by my supervisor Dr. Albert Roca Alvarez. Furthermore, I belong to the national African studies research network ARDA, and collaborates with the University of Barcelona centered group "Multiculturalism and Gender". My research is focused on Asante pre-colonial history (Ghana) and the historical position of the queens within the African traditional political systems.
